Self-host agents
A self-hosted worker runs your Agents SDK code on infrastructure you control. Mistral provides orchestration and durable state; you operate the worker process. This is different from running the entire Mistral platform on-premises.
The maintained procedure lives in Agents SDK run modes: self-hosted worker.
Before you start
Before you start
- Complete SDK installation and the quickstart.
- Use an API key with workflows enabled.
- Prepare the agent project and its dependencies. By default, the CLI loads the
agentobject frommain.py; the entrypoint configuration explains other layouts.
Serve and check the worker
Serve and check the worker
Follow the self-hosted-worker procedure to register the agent with agents serve and keep its worker running. It covers naming, registration conflicts, hardening, and worker configuration.
Use a worker-backed session to send turns to the agent. Check Studio tracing to inspect execution, and use replay-safe helpers for time, sleeping, IDs, and randomness in durable code.
